Monster seeks to take a serious look at popular culture through an informal analysis of its impact, interdisciplinary threads, and theoretical implications. Inspired in part by Lady Gaga's metatheatrical performance style and public persona, the goal is to provide an outlet for academic professionals in multiple fields to discuss and negotiate the manipulation of public media in a post-human era.
